ta86_wistfall, intimate close portrait of an adult woman with deep auburn hair loosely gathered into an imperfect braided updo, stray strands falling across her face, pale freckled skin, tired green gray eyes, subtle septum ring and small ear piercings, faint smudges and weathered marks across her cheeks giving the impression of someone carrying a long memory rather than physical injury. Her expression is distant and emotionally exhausted, lips slightly parted, gaze unfocused as if listening to something that has already disappeared. Dark high collared fabric surrounds her neck and shoulders, rendered softly so the clothing dissolves into shadow near the lower edge of the portrait. Muted slate blue background with almost no environmental detail, leaving strong emotional negative space around the head. Very close 85mm portrait perspective, slightly low angle, imperfect asymmetry, loose strands crossing the eyes, subtle tilt in the composition. Soft diffuse side light reveals freckles, skin texture and copper highlights in the hair while the opposite side falls into luminous charcoal shadow. Painterly semi realistic rendering, visible dry brush texture, delicate graphite like scratches, softened edges, selective detail around the eyes and mouth, restrained palette of burnt sienna, dusty rose, charcoal and cool blue gray, fragile beauty, quiet solitude, wistful mood, memory and absence, painterly dissolution, subdued warmth trapped inside a cold surrounding atmosphere.
